With spring approaching, decorating with flowers will soon be picking up for cake decorators. Whether piping fantasy flowers or botanically correct flowers, this simple tip will help your piped creations stand apart.

Grab a set of pliers and pinch the opening to your piping tip shut just a bit. Doing so restricts the flow of buttercream but allows it keep its shape to have a more delicate look than how originally manufactured.
